Itinerary Details

DAY 01 - Beijing Capital International Airport
  1. One of our representatives will personally meet you and welcome you at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
  2. You will be taken for dinner straight away.
  3. Check in to Hotel to relax, unwind and spend the night after a tiring day of travel.
DAY 02 - Lama Temple, Lingyan Temple, Beijing Acrobatic Show
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Visit to Lama Temple, which is an exceptional Buddhist Temple with decorative arches, frescoes and tapestries as well as fantastic carpentry.
  3. Visit to the Lingyan Temple or “Temple of the Spiritual Rocks”, which used to be one of China’s main temples during the Tang and Song dynasties, possessing a long history.
  4. Visit to the Chaoyang Theatre, to experience the famous Beijing Acrobatic Show.
  5. Back to the hotel for dinner and a restful night.
DAY 03 - Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Visit to Tiananmen Square, a city square in the centre of Beijing, which happens to be one of the top ten largest city squares in the world. Being the site of numerous important events in the history of China, it has profound cultural significance.
  3. Visit to the Forbidden City, a World Heritage Site. Forbidden City is a palace complex in Central Beijing which is home to the Palace Museum. UNESCO has listed the Forbidden City as possessing the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.
  4. Visit to experience the imperial garden in Beijing, Summer Palace, which has also been declared by UNESCO to be a World Heritage Site, calling it to be “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”.
  5. Return to hotel to relax.
  6. In the evening, free time to shop or do as you please.
  7. Dine and spend the night at the hotel.
DAY 04 - Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, The Olympic Green
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Transfer to Railway Station, Beijing to travel the 5 hour journey by bullet train to Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province which was also an ancient capital of China.
  3. Lunch on the train (lunch packet will be provided).
  4. Arival in Xi’an.
  5. Check in to hotel and dinner.
DAY 05 - Terracotta Army, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. isit to witness first hand, the Terracotta Army, the collection of terracotta sculptures of the vast armies of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.
  3. Lunch.
  4. Visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a Buddhist pagoda which has also been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  5. Visit to the Xi’an City Wall which is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved city walls of China.
  6. Back to the hotel for dinner and a time of relaxation.
DAY 06 - Railway Station, Shanghai, Jade Buddha Temple, Silk Factory
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Visit to witness first hand, the Terracotta Army, the collection of terracotta sculptures of the vast armies of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.
  3. Lunch.
  4. Visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a Buddhist pagoda which has also been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  5. Visit to the Xi’an City Wall which is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved city walls of China.
  6. CBack to the hotel for dinner and a time of relaxation.
DAY 07 - Railway Station, Shanghai, Jade Buddha Temple, Dinner at Silk Factory
  1. Check out of hotel early morning. You will be provided with a packed breakfast and lunch.
  2. Transfer to Railway Station, Xi’an to catch the 0823hrs bullet train to Shanghai.
  3. Arrival in Shanghai.
  4. Visit to Jade Buddha Temple, another popular Buddhist temple
  5. Visit to Silk Factory where you will also be served dinner.
  6. Check in to Hotel for a peaceful night’s rest
DAY 08 - Yu Garden, Shopping at Yu Bazar, U.P. Plaza, Dinner & night cruise at HuangPu River
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Visit the famous botanical garden in Shanghai, Yu Garden, which means “Garden of Happiness”.
  3. Enjoy a diversified shopping experience at Yu Bazaar for approximately 1.5 hours.
  4. Enjoy lunch and more shopping at U.P. Plaza.
  5. Drive to the HuangPu River for a night’s cruise as well as a tasteful Chinese dinner.
  6. Return to the hotel to spend the last night in China.
DAY 09 - Free time, Shanghai International Airport
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
  2. Free time to shop to your heart’s content.
  3. Lunch at the hotel and check out.
  4. One of our representatives will take you to the Shanghai International Airport for your return flight to Colombo.
