Heritage Tour

The Heritage Tour is a 7 day tour package that will take you through the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka - Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Kandy - to visit several sites that are of unique importance to the heritage of Sri Lanka, most of which have also been declared as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO due to their tremendous cultural significance. This tour will help you to taste the uniqueness of Sri Lanka, with the limitless experiences that the island has to offer, whilst making the most use of your limited time here.

Itinerary

Day 01 - Bandaranaike International Airport, Negombo
  1. One of our staff members will meet and welcome you at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
  2. You will be taken straight to The Steuart by Citrus, a luxury boutique business hotel situated right in the heart of Colombo city.
  3. Check in at the hotel.
  4. Unwind, relax and dinner after a tiring day of travel.
Day 02 - Wilpattu National Park
  1. Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  2. Travel to 03hrs(approximately) to Wilpattu National Park.
  3. Half day safari at Wilpattu National Park.
  4. Travel to Anuradhapura, the first ancient capital of Sri Lanka.
  5. Check in to hotel for dinner and a time of relaxation and rest.
Day 03 - Anuradhapura
  1. Breakfast at the hotel.
    2. Visit the attractions in the sacred city of Anuradhapura.
  2. Back to the hotel for dinner and a time of relaxation before traveling to the next point in the cultural triangle the following morning.
Day 04 - Polonnaruwa Ancient City
  1. Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  2. Travel to Polonnaruwa city, the second ancient kingdom of Sri Lanka.
  3. Check in to Hotel Sudu Araliya, Polonnaruwa, a 4 star luxury hotel for dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 05 - Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave Temple
  1. Breakfast at hotel.
  2. Travel to Sigiriya, a World Heritage Site.
  3. Visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest and most well-preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka today, comprising of complex murals and statues.
  4. Check in to a luxurious hotel where you can dine, relax and unwind in style.
Day 06 - Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy
  1. Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  2. Travel to the next point of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle, the beautiful city of Kandy, the Hill Capital of Sri Lanka and a World Heritage Site.
  3. Tour of the Temple of the Tooth.
  4. Check in to hotel for dinner and enjoy your last night in beautiful Sri Lanka.
Day 06 - Bandaranaike International Airport
  1. Breakfast at the hotel and check out.
  2. Our staff will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
Package Included
  • Accommodation will be provided in standard rooms on half board basis.
  • Transportation to different locations will be provided in airconditioned vehicles.
  • Drinking water will be provided throughout the tour.
Package Not Included
  • Permits for videography / photography.
  • Lunch and beverages (other than water) – payments for these will have to be made separately by the individuals as and when obtained.
  • Entrance fees to the sites. These will have to be paid separately upon arrival at the site.
  • Any other services that have not been mentioned in the itinerary or package.
